Dreams
You can sell one & you can buy one
But if all you have is a “dollar and a dream”
And you buy into this dream of making 6 figures after paying 6 to begin with…
Should you have sold yours or continue to buy one?
In elementary school, you’re sold your first dream.
“The American Dream”
2 story house, nice car, married, 2 kids, and a white picket fence…
And you’re still buying into that dream when there’s people decades older than you in the streets with picket signs because they can’t afford the white picket fence, nice house, and the rest of the dream they bought…in which you’re buying too…
Now, if you want to be a doctor, take out a total 72k in loans, not counting grants/scholarship for undergrad, then on to of med school, be my guest. We always need doctors.
But if you just wanna LIVE, it’s damn near impossible…
I refuse to work 9 to 5 , Monday through Friday , just for a slightly lower than average annual income or dehumanize MYself, by being a minion to a man whose anatomical structure is almost equal to mine, for only 7.25 an hour…Hours of our lives we can never get back, that we spend working FOR someone other than ourselves…for only 7.25 & then for the government , who has NOTHING to do with this process, to take tax percentages out of your already measly check…why settle for that?
Sell yourself a dream. It’s an investment. Don’t feed into anyone’s plans, unless you can prosper and evolve from it. Acquire a team of individuals who are capable of taking hold of a vision and have the initiative to remain on task.
& hopefully, hopefully, you acquire what you desire.
